Historical Note:  The Mimbres Valley is a northern flight zone for the migration of Sand Hill Cranes from the south.  Here a Mimbres Artist depicts his fascination with the cranes long neck.  The crane is noted as an underworld figure and has been found with many bowls accompanying the dead on their journey to the next world.
